英国六十年代年摇滚组Procol Harum 乐队的经典曲--A Whiter Shade of Pale(苍白的浅影)曾在1967年横扫全球流行乐坛，在英美的各流行榜都荣获冠军，成为了摇滚历史上的经典，至今已有为数相当多的翻唱版本，“Procul Harum”邀请超现实主义色彩浓厚的诗人为其作品写词，词意晦涩难懂意味深长，描绘出当时人们的一种生活状态。
